Starting again

I keep this blog mainly for my own sanity, and little else. I doubt anyone else reads it, but that's ok :).

Today is the day I change my life. I want to live better, feel better, and be better.

I want to set some goals, both in the games I play and in my real life outside of virtual space.

Gaming-

1.) Finish all the games i own that i have yet to-
A.) Assasin's Creed 2
B.) Infinite Undiscovery
C.) Devil Summoner 2
D.) Valkerie Profile
E.) Persona
F.) *To be added*
2.) I want to better develop my character(s) in World of Warcraft.
A.) Get my warrior to 80, and get him geared to raid.
B.) Finish my Trade Skills on my druid, and work on my Paladin's jewelcrafting more.

Real Life
1.) Get back in the same shape I was in the army.
2.) Get our House better organized and accessible
3.) Continue to educate and improve myself.
4.) Start being more frugile with spending and save more for our plans to have children in the future.
5.) Work on my spirituality/relationship with God.
6.) Continue to try and be a better man for my wife, Laura

As the trade skills to work on for the time being.

So tired, not sleeping well lately.

I rerolled on Anvilmar. I am tired of the raiding failure that is PIF. Great people, but horrible raiders.

Nax 10 PUG Successfulishsorta

Last Saturday with the help of a couple of PIF folks I ran a Nax 10 PUG on Icecrown. It was mostly a success and we downed 3 wings and Patchwerk. Looking forward to doing it again this week.

10/13 bosses down

My Guild PIF downed two more keepers this weekend. Both Freya and Thorim. The only bosses remaining are :

Mimiron
General V
Yogg Saron

We made a few attempts on Mimiron, and the little guy is very very challenging. Healing is brutal, will need to make some adjustments for this to work.

Way to go PIF

I am very proud of my guild, PIF. This weekend we downed 8 bosses in Ulduar 10 including Hodir. For us this is quite the accomplishment.

Last night I ran a PUG with some PIF and other Icecrown folk in Vault of Archavon on 25 man. We successfully downed Emalon and Arch, I was very happy.

Up to 13 push ups a day now, twice a day. Laura and I are walking as well every break and lunch.

Been biking every morning and knocking out push-ups twice a day. Just want to be able to walk around the convention center the entire time without getting winded.

Paladin Healing

I play a paladin, go figure. :)

On Tuesday my guild PIF ran an joint raid with another guild for our server. There was a paladin in the guild who performed exceptionally on the healing charts. This intrigued me into looking into his build more, and I decided to try to follow his spec.

I normally go for a strong Int/Crit build and spam Holy Light.

I tried a new build last night for our 10 man Ulduar run, and it performed quite well I felt.

51/20/0

This new build moves towards maximizing spell power and liberally using flash of light. I will give it a shot in tonight's 25 man raid to see how well it works.

I am going to Blizzcon 09!

This will be my third Blizzcon i have attended, and i am amazingly giddy. Laura, my wife will not be attending this one. While it is sad to travel without her, she does not really enjoy these conventions like I do. Having booked my tickets on Priceline, now i have to start walking and exercising to get myself ready for the event.

For packing materials, this time i am planning on bringing a backpack to store anything I need or want as I walk around the convention. It's nice that Blizzard is letting us purchase anything we want from the Blizzcon Store prior to going.
